I'm known in my own circle as "The Giver that keeps on Giving" because of my unique Holiday gifts. I devised this small shopping guide to help you buy for all your loved ones and even your own family.
I hope you guys enjoy using my guide as much as I enjoyed dishing it out. Feliz Navidad.
- Small Children. - Generally the easiest to shop for. What most people don't know is that children under the age of 10 cannot discern quality. Find something around the house that you don't need anymore, like old pieces of wood from the back porch or that cup of old bacon grease. All these would entertain children for hours. When in doubt, give them some of the ornaments that didn't make it to the Christmas Tree.
- Young Adults (aka Teens) - Teens are more sophisticated than their toddler counterparts..but not by much. My general rule of thumb is that Teens love Antique Outlet Malls. What 16 year old wouldn't love a slightly used desk hutch or even an old RCA tabletop AM Radio? If they're into fashion (which some of them might be), JC Penny's or The Montgomery Ward Outlet Hole is usually a sure fire bet to get him/her exactly what's in fashion.
- Adults (18-30) - Adults in this age bracket are generally only interested in one thing: Credit History. Open a new line of unsecured debt in their name. I hear American Express has a very liberal line of credit that they give out. Try to avoid Department Store Credit Cards, as they usually don't offer the same cool designs on their cards.
- Adults (30-50) - If people in this age bracket expect to recieve anything for Christmas, they are selfish assholes. Bed and Bath items can make lovely gifts.
- The Elderly - Don't forget about the Elderly people in your family. A big trend amongst older people are clothing lines from Akademiks and Fubu. Urban Outerwear meets Bingo Innerwear, for style, for comfort.
- The Signifcant Other - This is probably the most difficult to buy for, because more than likely, they'll pretend to like it. Obviously, Women love to recieve Diamonds and men hate purchasing them. How to solve this dilemna? Zirconium? Nope. How about a Romantic Getaway for two to the local Motel 6? Not the one by the freeway dummy, but the one overlooking the new Airport. Imagine a quite, romantic and semi-secluded dinner at the Taco Gateway in the Airport Lobby. Problem Solved.
