Family from floating Buick in legal limbo between U.S., Cuba. Funny thing happened yesterday when my parents came over to check out the new place. My dad requested CNN be on when I was showing him the benefits of HDTV. On air was a story about Cuban exiles using a floated Buick to make the harrowing journey from Cuba to The States.
As my parents talked in Vietnamese about the practicality of using a floated Buick Truck to make the voyage, I swear my dad said: "Amateurs."
Many of you may have known that we made a similar trip from our native homeland of Vietnam, but not with a CAR. As pointed out in many of your geography classes, Vietnam is surrounded by the Gulf of Tonkin..and a Gulf means water. Lots of it.
We ran from our grand ole' regime the classy way: via Boat. If asked to do it again, what would be the preffered method? How about a nice Mercedes S55 AMG flanked by water noodles.
