Doh. Left the cabin light in my car on over the weekend. This is the first time in approximately 8 years that I've ever had a problem with my vehicle. It was due time. Wally came over to help me jump start, but didn't get it in time for him to haul ass to work. My brother The Fever came by and we finally got it up and running. This meant canceling my Dr.'s appointment.

House hunting. Em's family's friend is our realtor and she rocks. We went to a couple of properties last Saturday afternoon and found some promising leads. All except two were pretty good candidates. There was one house that was a foreclosure which was beaten all too crap. For the price, it wasn't too bad, except for the aw crap, I gotta spend 15k+ and alot of blood/sweat/tears/sweat/muscle etc. to get it up to code factor. There was an upstairs nook that was apparently some kids bedroom, complete with 'graffiti' on the walls. This...this is where we stick the gimp, I thought.
There's something awkward about checking out a property when it's not vacant. One house that we liked had a cool layout, big garage and a total bitch living in it. We called in advance to come look at it, but when we came in, she was stand off-ish. It's like we called her just to use her bathroom.

Photography Newz. Photokina 2004 is on it's way and it appears to be a big year for digital photography. Canon is introducing it's new 1Ds MK2, a Full 35mm Frame, 16 Megapixel professional body with increased performance over the MK1 version. In layman terms, a Full 35mm Frame, 16 Megapixel Professional Body with increased performance over the MK1 version. It is priced in the stratosphere and comes complete with a Japanese Technician to maintain it.
This was a kick to the groin to Nikon's D2x, a 1.5X cropped camera with 12 Megapixels. In a world where you eat cereal for dinner, both of these cameras are somewhere between unobtainable and exclusively for the Westlake Crowd.
Olympus is debuting it's E-300 EVOLT 8 Megapixel camera which has an interesting sideways mounted reflex mirror. Made for the 4/3rds Mount, this is good news for all 5 people who bought the E-1 DSLR.
My biggest anticipation is for what the hell the Zeiss boys are going to unveil on the 29th. There's been rampant interweb rumors on what exactly they have up their sleeves, ranging from a new Film Rangefinder, a new Biogon design, a Digital Rangefinder or even a Medium Format Rangefinder. All I know is that I spend too much time wondering.

Sports Newz. Did anybody anticipate Seattle shutting out San Fran.? I can believe it, especially with Ken "Dorky" Dorsey at the helm of the 49'ers. I call him dorky because his profile pic in Madden/NFL 2K5 is pretty nerdy looking.
The Chiefs are a 180 degrees from where they were this time last year. As everybody knows: their Defense stinks. What they need is Donovan McNabb's mother to come put some sass down and feed them some Campbell's chunky soup. That should do the trick, because the Eagles are rolling.
Peyton/Favre combined for 700+ yards & 9 TD's on Sunday. That's like setting Madden to 'rookie' difficulty.
My picks for the Superbowl is a safe bet: New England / Eagles. Of course, anything can happen.
