Our Extreme Home Makeover. We've been at the in-laws for a little over a month now, but we can't stop dreaming about our own Extreme Home Makeover:
Ty Penington: Design Team, this couple really needs our help. You see, they sold their old house so they could buy a bigger house, but [Camera Cuts to Design Team looking on] their house won't be ready for another two months.
[Cut to Paige of the Design Team, tearing up]
Ty: They have all their furniture in storage [cut to Gay guy of the design team drenched in tears] and it looks like it might be delayed another month [cut to footage of new house getting built]. What do you think guys? Can we help them out?
[Design team cheers and puts all their hands together in the center]
Cut to Sue and Frank's house, with Ty and the Design team surprising us to come outside. Everyone is hugging and shit.
Ty (talking to Em, who is, as you guess, tearing up): We know it's been a rough couple of weeks for you guys. So we're sending you guys on a nice little vacation to...SAN ANTONIO! [Cut to Em and me hugging and jumping up and down] You two will be staying at the beautiful Days Inn on the RIVERWALK! [Cut to Em buckling under he knees and falling down crying]
..we can dream, can't we? Oh, in addition, Ty and the Design team install Semiconductor Clean Room grade HEPA Filters in the new house to help with my seasonal allergies as well as an electrical chair that will take me from the first story to the second story and vice versa. He also gives Em and Zen Room (to get away from the daily routine, I guess).

New Canon stuff. Canon released some new gear today:
Canon 40D DSLR : Big news, the 9-Pt. AF system gets upgraded to all cross-type sensors, and the center AF point is a high-sensitive Cross-Type Sensor. This is big news, because only the 1-Series cameras previously had the capabilities of retaining Cross-Type AF at smaller apertures (helps in low-light situations).
Canon 1Ds Mark III : 21 Megapixels that could effectively kill of some of the Medium Format Digital Market. Since this camera is somewhere in the 8K range, it will have to linger in my Asian Wet Dreams a little longer.
Canon Point and Shoots : Lots of point and shoot cameras, but no Canon CMOS sensors in these puppies (yet).
Read them all here.
